In the last article, we introduced the principles of Optical-Defog and Electronic-Defog. This article outlines the application scenarios of two common fogging methods.
Marine
As an unsafe factor affecting ship navigation, sea fog has the greatest impact on the safety of marine navigation by reducing visibility and causing difficulties in ship sighting and land mark positioning, thus making ships prone to reefing, collisions and other marine traffic accidents.
The application of fogging technology, especially optical fogging technology in the maritime industry, can to a certain extent guarantee the safety of navigation and avoid navigation accidents.
Airport
When there is fog on the route, it affects landmark navigation; when there is fog in the target area, it has a serious impact on visual landmark flight activities.
Investigations have shown that the pilot's inability to see the runway and landmarks during landing in low visibility can cause the aircraft to deviate from the runway or ground too early or too late, thus making it highly susceptible to accidents.
The application of fog permeation technology can, to a certain extent, prevent these accidents from occurring and ensure safe flight take-off and landing.
And the Airfield / Runway Surveillance & FOD (Foreign Object & Debris) Detection System can also be used in foggy weather conditions.
